Internship Opportunity 
Marketing  |  Social Media  |  Community Outreach
This position will provide the opportunity to turn knowledge obtained in the classroom into significant business development and marketing activities. Weekly involvement with professionals & business owners in the Grand Rapids & surrounding communities will provide valuable insight into the entrepreneurial process and also encourage the intern to contribute their personal and creative twist to the company’s marketing & community involvement strategy. 

Intern will assist and participate in social marketing, communications, & administrative  including but not limited to:
  • Market research and identification of marketing opportunities
  • Development of marketing material, social media and campaigns 

  • Assist in the management of social media strategy execution from concept through completion and analysis
  • Assist in the planning and execution of business related events
  • Attend weekly meetings with the team to review objectives, current projects, and mentoring opportunities
  • Participate in career development opportunities within the community or provided for by the company

Hours & Compensation
  • Approximately 10-12 hours per week (depending on what is needed for college credit if applicable). We are willing to work around an intern’s schedule, some nights or weekends may apply.  
  • Dwell GR will cover costs for career development opportunities, business meetings or events (admission to events/company meeting meals) Intern will be paid an hourly rate based on experience.
  • If the intern wishes to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be the intern’s responsibility to make arrangements with his or her school.  We will provide the necessary job description and performance reviews upon request. ​

Key Qualifications:
  • Student in marketing, communications, business, or related field of study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Creative problem solving, and results driven attitude
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge of Wordpress or website development as well as social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter)
 General Duties:
  • Assist in the management of marketing materials 
  • Assist in the management of the company's inbound marketing and brand strategy
  • Assis in database management 
  • Assist with planning and coordination of events
  • ​Attend weekly meetings with the Founder to review objectives, current projects, and mentoring opportunities​
