Fall/Winter Activities in Grand Rapids

The City of Grand Rapids has 74 parks totaling around 1,200 acres of land in the city limits! There is so much to love about each and every one of our city's parks, from splash pads to playgrounds and more! Grand Rapids has an amazing parks system thanks to our wonderful city workers, community support groups, and special organizations like Friends of GR Parks!

While all of our parks are a hit during warm weather months we wanted to give a little extra love during Fall/Winter and highlight our top 3 park picks. Why? For their trails that are so beautiful to hike on in Fall & Winter, also perfect for snowshoe/cross country skiing... and our most favorite activity with the kiddos after a heavy snow - sledding!
